A Lost World in danger. One Angry Man. Nazi dinosaurs.

As part of Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature’s One Book – One Edinburgh campaign for 2009, which celebrates Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1912 classic The Lost World, Writers’ Bloc have a night of literary mayhem planned with original fiction, Doyle apocrypha and, er, Nazi dinosaurs.

The show will feature previously unknown addition to the existing canon of Professor Challenger stories, allegedly relayed via spirit medium by the late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and transcribed by Andrew J. Wilson…  But also expect some alternative takes on Doyle from the city that bore him 150 years ago: war poetry, spritualism, fairies and a deerstalker-wearing bloke with a coke habit may all make an appearance.

And did we mention the Nazi dinosaurs?

Writers appearing at Doyle M For Murder will include:  Stefan Pearson, Morag Edward, Jane McKie, Hannu Rajaniemi, Andrew C. Ferguson, Andrew J. Wilson and Gavin Inglis.
